CMV Welcomes
New TV Station!
KTF Productions is proud to announce that Christian Music Videos has been picked up on another television station, bring the station count up to 9! Christian Associates of Southwestern Pennsylvania will begin airing episodes of Christian Music Videos daily on their local cable channel 95 on Comcast beginning the week of May 5th. Viewers can watch 4 episodes of CMV Monday thru Friday. Two episodes will air back to back at 3:00pm and again at 9:00pm. This is the largest rotation of CMV episodes per week on any current station airing CMV.
Christian Associates also asked for previously aired episodes of CMV along with new ones as they become available. Therefore, they will have access to over 150 episodes of CMV to begin airing right away. Although CMV has created over 280 episodes since it's conception, it has gone through so many changes in program length and episode design that KTF chose to only release the previous 150 episodes along with future episodes as they become available.

Pre-Opens
Last month, KTF Productions produced two pre-opens that are designed to air on Christian Music Videos at the very beginning of an episode. These 8 second video clips will air in episodes where a full episode of The Wartleys will be broadcast within the music video show. Click on the screen shots below to enlarge.
Storyboard as a PDF
Now you can also download the storyboard version of each episode of The Wartleys as a PDF document. This will give you the opportunity to print it out and keep as a hardcopy, or share it with others over the internet. The storyboard is used to help plan the shots for each episode of The Wartleys. However, it also can be viewed as a comic strip complete with text balloons.
Podcasts
Last month, KTF began offering video podcasts of The Wartleys. Now you don't have to just watch episodes on your computer, you can also download them to your iPod, iPhone or AppleTV and take it with you. Each episode of The Wartleys will be offered as a video podcast. You can collect the entire series for free! You can also subscribe to the podcast series and iTunes will audiomatically download every episode to your computer as they become available!
Cartoon Solutions
David Evans, President of KTF Productions, has had the unique opportunity to coordinate with cartoon character creators, "Cartoon Solutions" in helping to make the characters more posable and versitile. Cartoon Solutions is the organization who creates all of the characters and backgrounds used in The Wartleys. KTF Productions write the scripts, record the voices and animate the characters. KTF may also modify the characters and backgrounds to customize for specific needs. Cartoon Solutions has several additional characters that are not yet optimized for the software used to create The Wartleys but we are looking forward to seeing new characters and background from Cartoon Solutions as they become available and older characters with the added level of flexibility.
KTF Online Video Milestones
One neat thing about online video sharing sites like YouTube and GodTube is that those who post are able to easily track how many people stop by to view their clips. Though there is no way of telling if the viewer watches the entire clip, parts of a clip or just drops by for a quick glance, each "view" is recorded and available for any who want to know how popular a given clip is. KTF Productions began posting clips online last year, and though the views are not as impressive as some, KTF President, David Evans, is please with what he has seen. "I am amazed at what God has allowed us to do over the internet," David explains. "Though we don't have tens of thousands of views for any of our clips we do have several that have topped 1,000 views. I am very pleased when I see any clip top 1,000 be it on GodTube or YouTube. It makes me feel like our work is well worth it."
At the posting of this report, the top 3 KTF clips viewed on YouTube are from David's trip to Israel. The clip with the most views is the Western Wall with over 9,000 views. Second is the Via Delorosa at over 6,300 views and third is Masada with over 6,200 views. There are 27 video clips that have eclipsed the 1,000 view mark on YouTube and 1 that has achieved this milestone on GodTube. Clips from the Rezin 3D Animated Series, CMV Music Artist Interviews, Israel, Guyana and Haiti Mission Trips, and Surgeon's Scriptural Prescription are among that number. Rezin Webisode 9a
The Rezin 3D Animated Series webisode 9a is now available online for viewing on your computer (see below), or as a free podcast on iTunes so that you can watch it on your iPod, iPhone or AppleTV. Webisode 9a, entitled "Invasion" continues the story where webisode 8 left off. This webisode represents the final animated segment of the series. The next webisode will be in the form of a dramatic audio download. Each of the remaining 100 webisodes will be available as free downloads and will feature music, sound effects and the voices of the original characters. "It was a hard decision to move to an audio only series," explains series creator, David Evans. "However, this format opens up the opportunity for a more consistent release of the series. There may be other 3D animated shows in the future from KTF Productions, but I hope to see Rezin continue as a strong audio series." Audio files will be availabe as MP3 downloads for listening on the computer or portable music player. An enhanced podcast version is also being discussed which would allow images of the characters to be displayed on screen as we hear them talk.

The Wartleys - Auditions This Month
Auditions are set for Sunday, May 4th at Lake Center Bible Church in Portage, Michigan. KTF Productions is looking for local voices to play several characters in the new 2D animated Christian series, The Wartleys. The first volume of episodes are written, and the next step is to cast voices. Once voices are chosen, each of the 20 episodes will be recorded and animated. The Wartleys is the very first 2D animated cartoon produced by KTF Productions. Writer/Animator, David Evans, explains his views on the series. "I'm very excited about this series. I believe that the strength of the content comes from the idea that any given episode speaks to one of 3 specific age groups. The first perspective is from 12-year-old Will Wartley (played by Keegan Cox). Several episodes are written from his point of view, and I believe that kids around his age will be able to relate to him and become encouraged by what a 12-year-old can do for the Lord. We see Christianity through his eyes and how he relates to those in his sphere of influence. The second perspective is from 16-year-old Abby Wartley. We see how peer pressures and teen issues influence her point of view of Christianity. She deals with issues concerning her friends, boyfriend and school issues among others. Lastly, is the perspective of Christian parents, Jerry and Judy (played by Tom Cox and Jessica Cox). We can see how they deal with work, parenthood and marriage as it pertains to their Christian point of view. So each episode can be best viewed through the eyes of one of these three perspectives giving it a unique presentation of biblical values." Each episode is driven home by a portion of scripture highlighted at the end of the episode. These 1-3 minute clips will be available online and can also be seen within episodes of Christian Music Videos.
The first 20 episodes will feature the characters below. 3 of the 8 characters for the first volume have been cast. However, the remaining 5 will be cast after the May 4th auditions. The cast will broaden as we receive more characters from Cartoon Solutions, and future episodes will include them as they are written. Therefore, the volunteers who audition - though they may not appear within the first 20 episodes - may be cast as future characters for the series. Actors are expected to be chosen right away and will be handed a DVD explaining the voice recording process, among other things.

Even before characters are cast preliminary work is being done on the series. Storyboards are being generated, and CMV Pre-Opens are being created. This will help get a jump on some of the work necessary to make the series happen.

This Month on Christian Music Videos
Tune in each week to watch some of your favorite Christian music artists on Christian Music Videos. Holly kicks this month off with an episode dealing with priorites as she explains how we can structure balance in our lives. Then Surgeon rounds out the month beginning with an episode encouraging viewers that have been persecuted for the faith. Next up is an episode reminding us that we need to be spiritually minded if we plan to stay away from sin. Finishing off the month is an episode showing us why we can be at peace in any situation when we put our trust in God.
