The Courage to Stand

There are times in life when standing firm in your faith requires courage. Moments when it would be easier to stay silent, to go along with the crowd, or to avoid drawing attention to what you believe. But faith is not meant to be hidden. In Joshua, chapter 1, verse 9, we are reminded:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Courage is not the absence of fear—it is choosing to stand, even when fear is present. There may be situations where your beliefs are challenged. Where standing for truth may cost you something—approval, comfort, or acceptance. But God does not call us to blend in. He calls us to stand firm. And the good news is, we do not stand alone. So I encourage you to be bold in your faith. Not in a way that is harsh or prideful, but in a way that is grounded, confident, and rooted in truth.

Courage grows when we trust God more than we fear others. Let us stand firm in our faith, knowing that God is with us every step of the way.

God Sees You

There are moments in life when we feel unseen. When our efforts go unnoticed, our struggles feel hidden, and our presence seems overlooked. We may wonder if what we are doing matters, or if anyone truly understands what we are going through. But there is a powerful truth that we must hold onto: God sees you. Nothing about your life is hidden from him. Every effort, every struggle, every quiet act of faithfulness—he sees it all. In Genesis, chapter 16, verse 13, Hagar refers to God as, “The God who sees me.” It says:

“She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.”

In a moment of isolation and distress, she recognized that even when others did not see her, God did. This truth applies to us as well. There may be things in your life that no one else notices. Sacrifices you make, burdens you carry, prayers you pray in silence. It may feel like those things go unseen—but they do not. God sees your faithfulness. He sees your perseverance. He sees your heart. And not only does he see you—he cares. So I encourage you, if you are feeling overlooked or unnoticed, take comfort in this truth. You are not invisible to God.

God’s attention is not divided or distracted. He sees you fully and completely. Let us take comfort in knowing that even when the world does not notice, God does.

Resting in God

Rest is something that many of us struggle with. We live in a culture that values productivity, achievement, and constant activity. It can feel like we always need to be doing something. But God invites us to rest. In Matthew, chapter 11, verse 28, Jesus says:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Rest is not just physical—it is spiritual. There are burdens we carry—worries, pressures, responsibilities—that can weigh us down. Over time, they can leave us feeling exhausted, not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. God does not expect us to carry those burdens alone. Resting in God means bringing those burdens to him. It means trusting that he is able to carry what we cannot. So I encourage you to pause. To step away from the constant busyness and spend time with God.

True rest is found in God. When we come to him, we find peace, renewal, and strength. Let us not carry what we were never meant to carry, but rest in the one who sustains us.

Walking in Integrity

Integrity is about who we are when no one is watching. It is about consistency—living in alignment with our values, our beliefs, and our faith. In a world where compromise can sometimes feel easier, integrity requires intentionality. It requires choosing what is right, even when it is difficult or inconvenient. Proverbs, chapter 10, verse 9 says:

“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.”

Integrity brings stability. It brings peace. When we live with integrity, we do not have to worry about maintaining appearances or hiding inconsistencies. Our lives reflect what we believe. But integrity is not always tested in big moments—it is often revealed in small ones. The everyday decisions. The quiet choices. So I encourage you to be mindful of how you live, not just in public, but in private.

Integrity is not about perfection—it is about consistency. When we choose to live in alignment with God’s truth, we walk with confidence and peace. Let us be people of integrity in all areas of our lives.

Trusting God's Provision

Provision is something we all think about. We want to know that our needs will be met—that we will have enough for today and for the future. At times, uncertainty in this area can lead to worry. We may wonder how things will work out, how needs will be met, or what lies ahead. But Scripture reminds us in Matthew, chapter 6, verse 26:

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”

God is our provider. He knows our needs before we even ask. He sees the details of our lives that we may overlook. And he cares deeply about us. Provision does not always look the way we expect. It may not come in the timing or form we had in mind. But that does not mean God is not providing. There may be moments when we feel uncertain. When resources feel limited. When the future feels unclear. In those moments, we are invited to trust. So I encourage you to reflect on your life. Think about the ways God has provided for you in the past.

God’s provision is not based on our ability—it is based on his faithfulness. When we trust him, we begin to see that he is always providing, even in ways we did not expect. Let us rest in that truth.
