SPECIALIZED POSITIONS

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY (A Camera Operator/Lav Monitor)
Translates the director’s vision into the movie’s look and feel through camera work, lighting and composition. Operates primary camera and may also monitor up to 2 lavaliere microphones through camera input.

B CAMERA OPERATOR (Lav Monitor)
Operates second camera for complimentary angels to A Camera. May also monitor up to 2 lavaliere microphones through camera input.

BOOM OPERATOR (Boom Audio Monitor)
Self-Contained audio capturer who holds and maneuvers boom pole into position miking for dialogue, also monitoring and capturing boom audio through a connected recording device.

PHOTOGRAPHER/GRAPHIC ARTIST
Takes still images of the filming process for marketing, publicity and archiving purposes. Designs posters and promotion.

HAIR AND MAKEUP
Designs and applies makeup to actors to create specific looks, ensures continuity and consistency across scenes.

NON-SPECIALIZED POSITIONS

FIRST ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Manages logistics of film production, oversees shooting schedule and call sheets, liaison between director and cast/crew.

DIRECTOR’S ASSISTANT
Provides direct, personal and administrative support to director.

CONTINUITY/SCRIPT SUPERVISOR
Monitors continuity and action, dialogue, props during filming. Keeps detailed shot notes for the editor.

PROP MASTER/SET DECORATOR
Manage movable objects used on set; Selects, arranges and places “set dressing” to make location believable.

CLAPPERBOARD OPERATOR/PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
Operates the clapperboard to mark each take with its scene, announces info and claps board for sync.

PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
Liaison between production team, property owner and local authorities to ensure filming locations run smoothly and safely.

BEHIND THE SCENES PRODUCER
Shoots and edits behind the scenes footage and interviews for newsletter and social media.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
Helps with production setup, assists director and DP, fills in wherever needed.
