Anchored in Truth

Truth is something that feels increasingly difficult to hold onto in a world full of opinions, perspectives, and shifting standards. What one person calls truth, another may call interpretation. What one generation embraces, another may reject. But God’s truth does not change. In the middle of all the noise, it is easy to become confused or even discouraged. We may begin to question what is right, what is wrong, and where we should stand. But Scripture gives us a firm foundation in John, chapter 17, verse 17:

“Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”

God’s word is not just a truth—it is the truth. It is unchanging, unwavering, and eternal. While culture shifts and opinions evolve, God’s word remains the same. When we anchor ourselves in God’s truth, we gain clarity. We are no longer tossed back and forth by every new idea or trend. Instead, we stand firm, rooted in something greater than ourselves. But knowing the truth is not enough—we must live it. It is one thing to agree with God’s word, and another to allow it to shape our lives. Living in truth requires courage. It requires us to stand firm, even when it is unpopular. So I encourage you to spend time in God’s word. Let it guide your thoughts, your decisions, and your actions. When the world feels uncertain, return to the one thing that never changes—God’s truth.

Truth is not determined by culture—it is defined by God. Let us not be swayed by what is popular, but grounded in what is eternal. When we build our lives on truth, we build on a foundation that cannot be shaken.
