Waiting is one of the most difficult things for us as human beings. We live in a world that thrives on immediacy. We want answers now, solutions now, relief now. But God does not operate on our timetable. His ways are higher than ours, and his timing is perfect—even when it doesn’t feel that way. There are moments in life when we pray, and it seems like heaven is silent. We ask, we seek, we knock… and yet, nothing appears to change. In those moments, it can be easy to question whether God hears us at all. But the Bible reminds us in Isaiah, chapter 40, verse 31:

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Waiting is not wasted time when it is placed in God’s hands. It is in the waiting that our faith is stretched, our patience is refined, and our dependence on him is strengthened. God is not ignoring you. He is preparing you. He is aligning circumstances. He is working in ways that you cannot yet see. So if you find yourself in a season of waiting, I encourage you not to lose heart. Trust that God is moving, even in the silence. Hope in him, and allow him to renew your strength.

Waiting reveals what we truly believe about God. Do we trust him only when he answers quickly? Or do we trust him even when the answer is delayed? True faith is not just believing that God can act—it is believing that he will act at the right time. Let us not rush ahead of God, but instead learn to walk with him, trusting that his timing is always perfect.
