Weakness is something that most of us try to avoid. We want to appear strong, capable, and in control. But the truth is, we all have moments where we feel inadequate, overwhelmed, and powerless. In those moments, it can be tempting to rely on our own strength. We try to push through, to figure things out, to fix everything on our own. But God never intended for us to carry that burden alone. The apostle Paul reminds us of this powerful truth in 2 Corinthians, chapter 12, verse 9 when the Lord said to him:
“‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
God’s power is made perfect in our weakness. That means our weakness is not a liability—it is an opportunity. It is in our weakest moments that God’s strength can shine the brightest. When we acknowledge our weakness, we are actually positioning ourselves to receive God’s strength. We are saying, “Lord, I can’t do this on my own. I need you.” And that is exactly where God wants us to be—fully dependent on him. So if you are feeling weak today, don’t be discouraged. Don’t try to hide it or fight it on your own. Bring it to God. Allow his grace to sustain you and his power to work through you.

We often think that strength means independence. But in God’s kingdom, true strength is found in dependence on him. The more we rely on God, the stronger we become—not in ourselves, but in him. Let us embrace our weakness, knowing that it is the doorway to experiencing God’s power in our lives.
